While in the Hadlock Lab, Laurel worked as a clinical terminologist, helping the team effort with chart abstraction and real-world data acquisition.

Laurel went on to work as a clinical terminologist for Deloitte, part of the team at CDC’s National Center of Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) where she helps develop and maintain the code sets that get published throughout the year.
