Raul Ocasio is an expert in real-world evidence, medical informatics and data visualization. He works on design and validation of new approaches for computer-assisted chart abstraction. He has applied medical informatics for both biomedical research and optimization of healthcare delivery. He is dedicated to translational research to improve patient outcomes and community resource stewardship, with a specific interest in preventive medicine. Dr. Ocasio has an MD, and an MS degree in Bioinformatics. Prior to working at ISB, he has supported healthcare organizations, insurance organizations, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and the Centers for Disease Control.
