While working in the Hadlock Lab, Jewel implemented a locality-sensitive hashing strategy for summarizing semi-structured biomedical data. Additionally, she developed a machine learning model for ambulatory detection sepsis.

Jewel went on to work as a data engineer at Philips Healthcare.
