Mal is a rising MPH student studying Applied Epidemiology at Brown University. She specializes in literature review, epidemiological methods, and biostatistics with interests in maternal and pediatric health, causal mechanisms, and interpretable AI. In the future, she hopes to broaden her research to include neonatal sepsis, placental histopathology, and perinatal immunizations. While working in the Hadlock Lab, Mal brought new insights through her knowledge of neonatal health in the intensive care unit (ICU) and journal club presentations on personalizing multivariable treatment regimens.
